Emigrating: 2 Months to go

In response to my leaving, I have decided to spend the rest of my random blogging days talking about my upcoming move. However, my mind is now determined to make me actually realise what I am about to do.The reason for my move is that I have accepted a teaching job in Madar International School teaching English (The actual subject - in the British Curriculum) to Grade 4 learners. The school looks amazing. So I have compiled a pro's and con's list to me emigrating 4165 miles across the world to Al Ain (yes I have told people it's Dubai, but that is the nearest city that people would know) in the UAE.

PRO'S:
  • It will be a 'once in a lifetime' experience
  • Get to live another culture
  • Finally grow up and become independent
  • Have a secure job
  • All expenses paid for
 CON'S:
  • Again 4165 miles away is a lot when I may need mummy or daddy
  • I will have to leave my family behind
  • Covering up all the time will be a pain (at first)
  • I will be on my own in a foreign country
  • I hate flying
  • I hate injections
That is all I can think of for the time being, I will add more when I can. However, no matter how long the con list might be, I will still move. The only fear I have is not passing the qualification check. It might sound silly to some as I will have a teaching degree, but knowing my luck I would have the wrong one.
So for the next two months I will be gong through all the necessary checks, medical included. Hopefully I wont contract HIV/Aids or TB in the following months. That will definitely ruin my plans. It is now just a waiting game. Waiting for the contract to be signed, attested and then I shall be heading the airport to collect my tickets. Not long now. Maybe in another month I shall update my progress. I have packed some of my checked-luggage, and part of my hand-luggage. Just need to buy a few more things (including a suitcase) and I shall be sorted. Oh and I must definitely not forget the sun block...I'd hate to turn into a lobster straight away.

Its a New Day

After many hours of being bored, I finally decided to create a new blog called "Little Life Lost" and I will now update my story whenever I feel inspired there instead of muddling up this one. At least the story will be in order. And I cannot guarantee when I will update.

Also, I have also finally decided what my dissertation is going to be on. Finally! I eventually chose Alice Adventures in Wonderland, my original Subject. And my thesis statement has been chosen. Now all that is left is to get it checked over by my tutor and I can start writing.

A new day

The sun that rises in the east;

Marks the beginning of the day, the start of something new.

The most beautiful thing

That's impossible to beat, so unique too.

The shades and tints –

Pinks and blues, that brighten up the sky.

The biggest star

That our eyes see, the beauty that's up so high.

Some days this star can be hidden –

The eclipse from the clouds and the moon.

With the day that is closing,

The setting of the sun begins too soon.

The sun that sets in the west;

Marks the ending  of the day and the dying of something new.

The most calming sight

That's scenic and so romantic too.

The bending of colours -

Reds, blues and black, that darken the sky
 The biggest star

That now begins to fall from up high.

Now that the sun

Has gone to shine in other places.

Other tiny  stars

Are reflected on young people's faces.

Even though the sun

Has gone and only the starts can be seen

In the sky,

The magnificence is there and will always remain.

You are like the sun,

The moon and stars, which are hidden in your smile.

The sparkle in your eyes

Reflect the beauty  of above.
